Posted by Edu4sure team

college admission process, career counselling platform

Completing high school is a feat in itself. Planning for the future comes as the next bigger part. Putting aside all the babble about the relative the question arises “how to proceed with the admissions?” What are the career opportunities for you? Now general populous won’t view this as a major concern. Career Counselling Platforms can help a lot. They give enough information about the career so use them as much as possible.

If you give it a thought anyone would say it’s not that big of a deal now is it?
Well if you look at it from a practical standpoint of view, admissions sure count for a lot.

“If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.” – Nora Roberts

Getting admission into the right college is important for the right career. Most of the times, college admission is a lengthy and a tiresome process.Students need to have proper information about college admission. because today most of the colleges have less college admission while some have very high college admission. It all depends upon the quality of teaching and placement opportunities by various colleges.

An admission being the most difficult/tiring part of the entire process is hitherto heard of especially those new to the system. But trust me it does take a toll on someone going through it. Here is a college admission process checklist just for you-

How does it work?

Similar to many countries admissions in our country also work on a standard foundation of rigorous entrance exams. The level of difficulty? It totally depends on what type one is giving though most them are objective type questions. Based on how you perform you are allotted a score. This score is essential but holds on.

Current systems say take the board results into account too and assign an overall composite score. This can be a boon or a bane considering your present scenario. For example,  if you scored not so well in your entrance then certainly your board scores can save your composite score but it works the other way round too.

Now the type of examinations may be same but you still have one thing to work on, what are you going to do?
Have you ever tried any career counselling platform? We make sure it would help you a lot in choosing the right career. You should always look for various careers provided by Career Counselling platform. we encourage students to use it. Career counselling platforms are freely available and we just need to explore them.

Making up your mind

Essentially going for higher studies becomes an exciting thing for young students. A good trait indeed. But a common obstacle faced by the majority is clouded judgment. Sure there are many courses one can apply for. But you are only human and sure enough, go for only one. That’s where we may get distracted and finally may end with something that we didn’t want to study.

Career counselling is essential at every stage of career and we should always look for various career counselling platform.

Get this, Student A and students B are childhood buddies. Apparently, all their decisions are almost the same. Student A wants to go for engineering but B is interested in law.

What does he do?

In most cases, he makes the mistake of following his friend blindly. This gradually makes him frustrated as years go by.

You see this is one of the most common examples of clouded judgment among students. I don’t say it is always friends or peer pressure it can be anything. After all, our society can be quite judgemental and intrusive. No matter what happens you have to choose for yourself as you will be the only one who will regret if something wrong happens.

Relax and prepare

Speaking of relaxed, I tried to catch a local train from Kurla during peak hours (my first mistake). As the train arrived I knew what I was going to see thinking I was prepared thinking I could handle it (my second mistake).

The trained arrived and I well, I froze looking at the crowd (my third mistake). Somehow managing to get on the train I was expecting a smooth ride with comfort (being a first class ticket holder) and I couldn’t be any more wrong (taking the mark tally up to my fourth mistake).

I stepped off reached the destination (a little early no doubt) but what lay ahead was the same way the same walking distance that I had to take no matter when I reached. Same thing would have happened if I had taken a train which arrived later.

When we meet students, we find "College Admission Process" is not easy for them due to various reasons and one of the reason is understanding the admission forms. Though colleges have an easy way to do that but still many students find it difficult. It means we should understand the college admission process from the students perspective.

What’s the difference?

Why did I take the first train?

Maybe it was the next guy who suggested it who knows. Now let’s compare this with our case. Student A passes out of 12th standard what does he see?
He sees the entrance dates. People have made it the standard for students to appear for entrance exams the very same year they completed their college. Student A with no idea prepares in the very short given and appears for the exam (first mistake). He sees the paper and well, in most cases freezes (second mistake).

Somehow he goes on and attempts the paper. Thinking that he was such a brilliant student the paper should have been a cake walk but it isn’t and his inability to perceive this becomes his third mistake. The results are out and not so surprisingly he has to and again he breaks down expecting something good (his 4th mistake) which breaks him mentally. An online career counselling platform can be a great support for everyone who seeks career counselling.

Looking back he thinks maybe if I hadn’t trusted the Sharmas and Vermas of our neighborhood I would have been here but with more comfort or, to be honest at a better place. Observing some similarities? Life is not a local transit. Take your sweet time. It's not like you won’t make it big in life if you take a break to prepare and trust me taking your time is always better than rushing things.

Don’t let documents become your enemy

Before admission, there are many formalities that one has to complete. A common case that occurs is that at crucial times people misplace or can’t produce relevant documents. What happens next?
Well, a best case scenario may lead to a delayed admission and more hassle. Worst case scenario one may lose his or her seat as admissions during counselling is given on priority basis. Here is a list of things that you should always keep ready:

⇒ Mark sheet and result statement

It is an unwritten rule that this is the most important document. Keep in mind the marks are ones that have got you in the college. Sure the college authorities will have these things recorded but in this day and age of cheating, it is always expected of you to have the marks statement and passing certificate at ready. It is always recommended to keep multiple copies of the latter

⇒ Financial statements

Next thing that comes is the proof of money you have. I insist on this because many institutes do take the fees on the spot especially private ones. At least having the proof will be enough to make them understand that you can pay later if it is not possible at present.

⇒ Identification and address proofs

Well, this one’s no brainer. To get in who need to prove who you and where you live. Maybe a little overboard but this one is generally not asked for much. This is because the mark statements and bank documents generally cover this. It is still recommended that you always carry a copy of your birth certificate and Adhaar card with you.

⇒ It’s bad but not that bad

Looking at all the details it sure looks like a tiring job. To be honest it is. Taking an admission in Indian institutes can give you a tough time. What’s more annoying is the fact that even after doing all this there is no guarantee that you’ll get a college of your choice. Go for career counseling for high school students and make everything crystal clear.

The question arises “is it worth it?” Of course, it is and fruitful enough to make you forget all your bad experiences. Maybe not now but someday you will look back and think that you made the right choice.

The point is "no matter where you go struggle will follow and you can’t avoid it" but in the end, it doesn’t even matter (sorry bad joke I know) but on a serious note, it will all repay your hard work some way or the other.

One of the most important thing in someone life is "Career" and we are fortunate to have enough career counselling platforms but it is hard to have a better career counselling platform where we can get enough information. However, some career counselors can help you too. So always try to reach those career counselors and have a better idea about the career choices.
