Data is Everything.

Eh! It has become boring now. I mean I do like my job as an engineer in an ABC company, but it has become too mainstream.

I have been doing it for more than 10 years now. It feels like a dead end. I mean sure, with the kind of skills and experience I have, I can move to a higher post.

Just based on my skills and experience, I might move to a better position with a bigger desk and a few extra bucks.

But it does not give me a kick when I think about it.

Basically, it is something that I might get easier, but not something that I want or desire.

What I need at the moment is a fresh start.

“Something new and challenging.”

Working so many years in this company has increased my skills, but the challenge is no more there.

I am ready to learn something new now. Something related to my field. A little complexity, some creativity and a few numbers just might do the job.

I found something!

Just the other day I had been browsing the web after my usual work hours. Typical me. I happen to come across an interesting website by the name Edu4sure (yes, you are here only).

I contacted the customer service team, to speak to one of the counsellors there.

The counselor completely understood me and offered me the best solution. They asked me to look into data analytics.

At first, I had been a bit apprehensive about what it was. But after a brief research, I knew what I wanted to do next.

What is Data Analyst?

You know how you use registers or notebooks to make notes. Basically to store all your material or data in one place in an organized manner, so that you can access it whenever you want.

This is just the same, but the work has to be done on a system, a computer or a laptop. Companies hire people with extensive knowledge of numbers, excel and software. There are various software tools available to analyse data from Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python etc.

The main job of an analyst is to store huge amounts of data in an organized manner, analyse data and prepare reports. There are some complexities, but those can be solved with the knowledge of software and excel.

You can explore more about this by checking a few other blogs of ours. We have a blog on Data Science as a Career which can surely give you more ideas.

Why do I want to do this?

Firstly it fulfils the criteria of finding a new interest with new challenges. Secondly, I have a few skills required for the task.

Common an engineer does know his/her fair share of math and numbers. I would not even touch on a sensitive topic of complexity. Excel I know the basics, all I need to do now is get to the advanced level.

But there is one thing that I need to learn from scratch, and that is software. I mean I am a good learner and it should not be that hard for me. Still, I do need someone to guide me side by side.

The Best Guide

Remember Edu4sure, yes the same place where I spoke to a counsellor. They happen to offer the desirable courses at a pretty reasonable price.

Having a busy schedule like my own, I can choose from different learning modules like hybrid and one on one classes.

With the platform providing real life-based assignments and industry professionals to teach, I have no need to look any further.

Also in the end I would receive a certificate at the end, certifying my expertise in the skills.

So I am ready to change the direction of my career for good, are you?
